This Privacy Policy explains how BrandPilot AI ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Service.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, business info you provide during signup.
• Content: brand assets, captions, images, and other content you create or upload.
• Connected accounts: tokens and metadata from social platforms you connect (Instagram, Facebook, X, etc.).
• Payment data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
• Usage data: device, browser, and interaction logs to keep the Service secure and improve it.

2. How we use your information

• Provide, secure, and improve the Service.
• Generate AI content on your behalf.
• Publish and schedule posts to platforms you connect.
• Send transactional emails (billing, security, product updates).
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. AI processing

To generate captions and images, we send prompts and relevant brand context to third-party AI providers. We do not sell your content or use it to train third-party foundation models without your consent.

4. Sharing

We share information only with:

• Service providers (hosting, analytics, AI, payments) under contract.
• Social platforms you explicitly connect, to publish on your behalf.
• Authorities when required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active and for a limited period after cancellation to comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact privacy@brandpilot.ai to exercise these rights.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, role-based access, and row-level security on our database. No method is 100% secure; use a strong, unique password.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
